About the role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People and Operational Development Business Partner to join our team and become a trusted business partner to our leaders supporting them and their teams to deliver excellent outcomes for our customers. Our people are at the heart of our business, and we are looking for a candidate who is just as passionate about that as we are.

Working alongside the Senior People and Resources Business Partner your work will support the business objectives of 54North Homes and will include:

  • Providing advice and guidance on a wide range of HR and people matters
  • Accountable for the end to end of the employee lifecycle, working closely with the relevant specialists in our Groups (Karbon Homes) People and OD Team
  • Manage complex ER issues through to successful conclusion
  • Undertake relevant HR projects, supporting the Senior People & Resources Business Partner with strategic projects aimed at implementing the People Strategy
  • Working closely with our business leaders to drive cultural change and employee engagement

 

Working closely with key stakeholders, you will be responsible for delivering the People Strategy, ensuring the business needs are understood and are delivered through the plans which are aligned with organisational strategic priorities. You’ll be part of our wider People and Resources team at 54N Homes collaborating with other colleagues across departments and supporting a culture that delivers results, service excellence, and promotes 54 North Homes’ values and brand. You will also benefit from accessing Karbon’s People and OD Team expertise and support.

 

About you:

You will be an accomplished People & OD Business Partner with demonstrable experience of partnering to deliver strategies and implementing action plans.

  • You are an excellent communicator with strong influencing and collaboration skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and are comfortable operating in both a coaching and mentoring role.
  • You will put people at the heart of everything that you do, and your customer service ethos will guide you.
  • You are a people-person and problem solver at heart - you are able to take your passion for helping others and identifying problems to create solutions and drive impact with a can do attitude
  • You can provide constructive challenge and are able to deal with challenging situations confidently and with integrity
  • You’re great at working on multiple projects, while instilling huge confidence in those you work with by managing these effectively.
  • You are process oriented and enjoy creating structure where there may be ambiguity
  • You will have the expertise to support the creation and delivery of training to colleagues

  • People & Operational Development BP – permanent, part time role
  • Salary is £39,937 per annum (pro rata)
  • Location: Working from home and the office is available, we have offices in Leeds (LS6 2TN) and York (YO32 9LG) where you will be required to attend
  • Regular travel will be required
  • 18.5 Hours per week with some homeworking available/flexible working, days and times to be agreed
  • Generous benefits package including 26 days annual leave on commencement rising to 31 days (pro rata) after 3 years’ service, occupational pension, health cash plan, and birthday leave, with the option of a flexible pot towards enhanced benefits.
