Castles & Coasts Housing Association are seeking a new Board Members to join the organisation at an exciting time to influence and drive their ambitious plans over the next five years.

  • Remuneration: £5,200 per annum, plus out of pocket expenses
  • Commitment: 1-2 days per month

Castles & Coasts Housing Association was formed in July 2017 and owns and manages almost 7,400 homes across the north of England. CCHA is passionately committed to its social purpose and to providing affordable, safe, good quality homes and communities for people to live and thrive in.

The Board has a vital role to play in shaping the organisation’s strategy and vision. It also has an important role to play in ensuring that CCHA delivers a people focused culture, achieving high levels of customer and staff satisfaction and offering choices which meet customers’ needs and expectations.

This is an exciting time to join the Board, as we have an active development programme for much needed new homes and are approaching our Corporate Strategy mid-term review.

We are also embarking on an organisation wide digital transformation project., Its successful implementation will enable our people-focused culture to thrive. You would have the opportunity to influence and drive our ambitious plans in the coming years. In order to help us achieve our ambitions, we want to appoint Board Members who are passionate about people and communities and will bring vision, challenge and scrutiny in a collaborative and supportive way.

We are, however, particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Treasury

• Business, risk and commercial awareness

• Strategic IT/digital project delivery

Candidates who have chairing experience would be welcome.

We are seeking candidates who support and uphold the values of CCHA and integrate with a Board which is ambitious and performance oriented, with a supportive and people-focused culture. We welcome applications from CCHA residents who feel they have some of the skills we are looking for.
